Medical Marijuana in Delaware
On May 13, 2011, Delaware’s Governor Jack Markell signed senate Bill 17 into law and The Delaware Medical Marijuana Act became effective on May 13, 2011. Under the new law, medical marijuana Patients are legally permitted to possess up to six (6) ounces of useable medical marijuana, if the marijuana is obtained from a state-licensed dispensary facility. Delaware’s medical marijuana law does not allow Patients to grow their own marijuana at home.
